Service FAQs
CAN YOU SERVICE A SYSTEM YOU DID NOT INSTALL?
Yes. We can inspect an existing irrigation system, diagnose performance issues and recommend appropriate repairs or upgrades, regardless of whether Island Wide Irrigation completed the original installation.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD AN IRRIGATION SYSTEM BE SERVICED?
At minimum, systems should be checked during seasonal startup and winterization. Additional maintenance may be recommended depending on the system, property and level of use.
WHY IS WINTERIZATION IMPORTANT?
Water left inside irrigation components can freeze and cause damage during colder weather. Proper winterization helps protect the system and prepare it for the next operating season.
CAN AN EXISTING SYSTEM BE UPGRADED WITH SMARTER CONTROLS?
In many cases, yes. Depending on the existing equipment, updated controllers and sensors may provide easier scheduling, improved oversight and more responsive water use. We can assess the system and recommend compatible options.
